The
Library belongs to a video pool that rotates every 2 months. This well
used
service is paid for by the Dundalk Friends of the Library. DVD's will
be phased
into the existing blocks ranging from children's classics to popular
titles. The
Library will begin to purchase DVD's on a limited scale. If you have
any good
titles you no longer need consider perhaps donating them to the library
for the
enjoyment of the entire community.
Computer Lessons and Assistive Technology Workshops
Thanks to a generous grant from Industry Canada, the library is able to
offer
free, one-on-one and small group computer and Internet lessons- phone
or visit
for more details or to arrange a time.
Inter Library Loan Service
Interested in a book the library doesn't carry? Don't worry we can
borrow most
titles from other Ontario libraries. Provide us with the author and
title and we
will send the request to another library.
Books for Babies
Please let the librarian know when a baby is born in our area and we
will give a
book to the parents.
Dedicated children's literature room with constant donations by the
Friends of
the Library.
Computers
The
library currently maintains eight computer systems for public use. With
our
current technology, patrons can do Internet research, personal e-mail,
web
browsing, and job search. Printing is also available. Just come in, and
sign up,
and you will be surfing the information super-highway in no time!
Basic computer instruction is available for word processing, resume
construction, email, internet searching and basic computer knowledge.
The
library is prepared to offer patrons 30 minutes of assistance and 30
minutes of
self-instruction using prepared handouts, twice a week at pre-arranged
times.
